BPAL reviews...

I blame malruniel for getting me hooked on the damn things, but I ordered another round of imps and have tried three of them...reviews are as follows.
Twilight: An enigmatic, otherworldly scent, brimming with power and mystery. Lavender and jasmine, with a touch of glowing honeysuckle.  Oh, geez. This stuff was awful. On first application it smelled faintly of a diaper, slightly soiled. As it dried, though, it changed to old-lady scent. Not the type of perfume an old lady would wear, but the actual scent of an old woman. Rating: 0 out of 5
Shattered: A scent as sharp as glass shards, and as brittle as a broken heart. The formula came to me - quite literally - in a dream, and is named after, and created in memory of, the last poem that I ever wrote… almost ten years ago to the day. A blend of white champagne notes, grapefruit, lotus, slivered mint and crystalline aquatic blooms.  At first I thought it smelled a bit like pine freshener, but after about 15 minutes I fell in love with it. It's sharp and citrusy, though not terribly long-lasting or obvious unless you're inhaling my wrist. Lovely, though. Rating: 4 out of 5
Ave Maria Gratia Plena: A pale, delicate, truly angelic blend. A scent created to emulate Adonis' halo of beauty: fragile, distant, and radiant. Rosewood with Sicilian lemon peel, red Mysore sandalwood, pale musks, sweet mountain sage and a dusting of lily, night-blooming jasmine and orris. It's not bad, but not something I'd wear often. More like I'd wear it if I couldn't find another one I liked better. It somehow reminds me of the scent Cheshire Cat gives off, but more, I dunno, powdery? Feels a little churchy. It wasn't one I ordered; it was one of the free sample additional bit type thingies. Not awful, not great either. Rating: 2.5 out of 5

Waiting for reviews: Chuparosa, Fae, Delirium, Whip, and La Petit Mort, as well as the ones sent me by the lovely malruniel, which I have tried all of and loved some and liked others; mostly I've just grown incredibly lazy.

*sniffsniff* I feel so proud! Chuparosa used to be on my list of favorites. Sadly now it morphs into something weird. My chemistry changed, not the scent itself, so it's still a lovely scent, but not one I can wear anymore. La Petit Mort... to me, it smells kinda like sex, but not in the gross way. If that makes sense.
